Plot:

The movie unfolds in a village in Thirunelveli. Ramasamy (K Balachander) is an influential man in the village and he is a devoted to the principles of Congress since his childhood. He is against Singaravelan (Bharathiraja), a Communist.

Their feud runs for over four decades. Even their grand children are against each other and they form gangs to express their enmity. However a romance in the family changes the warm atmosphere.

Susheela (Anjali), brought up in Singaravelan's house is a school teacher who is in love with one Murthy (Aari). Understanding their true love, the children forget their enmity and try to bring both families together and get them wedlocked. Did they succeed in their attempts forms the climax.

Plot:
Neerkumizhi was a story of the happenings in a hospital, and the bright moments that a terminally ill patient, Sethu, ushers into its gloomy confines.

Sethu (KB seems to have liked this name, he repeated it for the hero of Punnagai Mannan in 1986!) was played with panache by Nagesh. Sowcar Janaki played the young doctor with plans of going abroad for further studies. Sundararajan, as the senior doctor having a soft corner for the mischievous Sethu, V.Goplakrishnan in the role of a recuperating sportsman, and Jayanthi as a pretty nurse offered firm support to the proceedings.

Synopsis:
Bhama Vijayam - One of South India’s all time great film directors presents and all time favorite Tamil movies. A middle class widower (Balaya) lives with his three grownup sons and their families - Major Sundarajan (a professor) and Sowcar Janaki, Muthuraman (Clerk) and Kanchana and Nagesh (insurance agent) and Jayanthi. Balaya keeps the family together and maintains control over the expenses. A cine actress (Rajashri) comes to live next door. The three daughters-in-law want to create a good impression with the actress and spend lavishly to upgrade their house. Balaya decides to teach them a lesson leading to many hilarious situations. This is a movie that has at least a couple of great songs - the more famous one being Varavu Ettana Selavu Patthana- about the effects of over spending. Plot:
Prasanna (Kamal Haasan) is nursed back to health by a classical singer Bhairavi (Srividya) after a bloody street-side fight. Plot:

Annamalai (Rajnikanth), and Ashok (Sarathbabu), have been best friends since childhood. Annamalai is a milkman while Ashok is the only son of a rich businessman (Radharavi). When Ashok falls in love with Geetha (Rekha), a poor girl, his father is naturally against the wedding. But Annamalai holds the wedding and earns his ire. Plotting to drive a wedge between his son and Annamalai, the businessman hints that he would like to build a hotel on Annamalai's land. Annamalai gives the land to Ashok without even accepting money for it but when Ashok later talks about bringing down his house, he slaps Ashok's father in anger. Ashok orders Annamalai's house to be bulldozed to the ground which drives Annamalai to challenge that he would become a bigger and more successful hotelier than Ashok.


Rajnikanth lights up the screen in both the comic and serious portions. Kushboo serves as a nice foil for him. She shares a good chemistry with him and shows nice flair for comedy. Sarathbabu, who has shared the screen in several of Rajnikanth's hit films, and Rekha are adequate. Radharavi, with a mannerism of scratching the back of his neck, is impressive when he asks for forgiveness from Manorama. 'Nizhalgal' Ravi is an effective wolf in sheep's clothing.

Plot:
An experimental Film in which the director narrates two different stories in one film. The first episode deals with Sukumar an Engineer and Shenbagham his maid servant whom he exploits physically and then gets married to Yamuna, a girl fixed by his parents. How does Yamuna react when she comes to know the truth and what happens to Shenbagham after Sukumar’s wedding is what the story is all about. Plot:

A political satire based on the politics of the early 80’s the story of ‘Achamillai Achamillai’ deals with Ulaganathan (Rajesh) and his wife Thenmozhi (Saritha).
