It about the sordid life forced upon two youngsters from a remote south Tamil Nadu village who are brought to Chennai city to work as counter sales people in swanky textile malls of Ranganathan Street and exploited by their employers. Mahesh who is a plus two topper is forced by the circumstances to take up a sales man job in a mall in Chennai. Anjali is also employed at the same shop. The jobs are low paying and they live in inhuman conditions provided by their exploiting mall owners. Amidst the conditions they fall in love which irks the mean management and they fight it out. The exploiting conditions in the mall don’t give way to peaceful existence and the try to start a new life out of the mall but end up ordinarily.
Plot: Karthick (Jai) is a jobless youth who leads a jolly life. He falls in love with Janani (Vijayalakshmi). He falls for the moment once he spots her.
However, on his father's ('Nizhalgal' Ravi) advice, Karthick goes to Australia for a year to pursue his studies. His father takes a promise from him that during his stay in Australia, Karthick should not communicate with Janani.
Meanwhile, Janani's wedding is arranged with a rich industrialist Siva (debutant Rahul). During his return journey from Australia, Karthick meets Siva by chance and they become good friends. Siva tells Karthick to teach a lesson to Janani for cheating him without realising that she is his wife.
Plot: It's a story about five brothers: Elder one Gunasekaran (Nasser), Karunakaran (Thodanna), Prabhakaran (Sundar C) and couple of younger brothers Dinakaran (Mukesh) and another one (Vivek). As the story proceeds, a plot about enmity with other family unravels where Devasena (Simran) is a pampered daughter. Gunasekaran is kind enough in breaking the hardships and getting united by arranging nuptials for Devasena with his brother Karunakaran. However, Devasena mistakes Prabhakaran to be her bridegroom. When things are unraveled and Prabhakaran turns away from Devasena's offer of marrying him, she vows to alienate him from his family by marrying Karunakaran.

Plot: The film starts off with a courtroom sequence where Meena is fighting for divorce from Kamal. She offers various flimsy reasons for wanting divorce which is granted. She married Kamal against her father's (Gemini Ganesan) wishes but being rich and spoilt, she wasn't able to come to terms with living in a small house with no amenities. Kamal is an assistant dance director and so he is not able to spend much time with the family too. All this accumulates and she decides she's had it and gets the divorce. The court orders that Kamal can meet his daughter once a week and this is the only solace. His daughter however loves him a lot and doesn't like the arrangement.
Nasser is a Muslim friend who works in a hotel as a chef. He advises Kamal to somehow get the child from her mom and Kamal goes about trying to do the same. In doing so he is discovered and now he cannot meet her at all. Then Kamal finds out that Gemini has advertised for a lady to look after his granddaughter. Nagesh is a makeup man and in conversation with him, Kamal gets the idea of playing an old lady so that he can be with his child and Meena without them knowing. Nagesh agrees to this plan and the transformation is done from Pandian to Avvai Shanmugi.
Heera plays the girl who is in love with Pandian but is constantly rebuffed. Nasser plays the role of a dumb Iyer cook and is admitted into Gemini's house on the recommendation of Avvai Shanmugi but is caught later while doing his Namaz, thereby shattering both lies, the dumb part and the Iyer part. Hilarious instances follow and slowly Avvai Shanmugi manages to convince the household of "her" sincerity.Meena has acted in a steamy scene where she's wearing black bra and asks Kamal to hook it. So much so that Gemini Ganesan begins to develop a liking for "her" and in fact proposes to "her" too! Manivannan is the houseowner of the place where Kamal (Pandian) lives. Once, he happens to bump into Avvai Shanmugi who was hurrying up the stairs. This bumping happens many times and he too begins to develop a liking for "her".Meanwhile Avvai Shanmugi slowly begins to learn that Meena hasn't totally forgotten her husband. "She" also rebuffs Gemini's proposals by saying that her husband is alive. Adding to the confusion "she" says Nagesh is her husband while Pandian tells Delhi Ganesh (Gemini Ganeshan's PA in the movie) that Manivannan is Avvai's husband. Confusion follows and it is all cleared finally. Avvai Shanmugi hints to Gemini that Meena's rightful place is by her husband and Gemini realises this. Gemini tells Meena that she has no place in the house and this drives Meena to depression. Meena leaves and attempts suicide, but Avvai Shanmugi stops her and reveals "her" identity as Pandian. Meena and Pandian reconcile.

Plot: Aanandha Thandavam is about two people of extremely different outlooks. The heroine (Tamanna) is one who toes the line set by her parents; she doesn’t wish or will to do anything that they would disagree with. Plot: Deva (Suriya) is a typical Chennai youth. His mother (Renuka) aspires that her son would join government service. Pursuing his post graduate course, Deva instead works for Das (Prabhu), who runs a smuggling racket.A shrewd Deva is a carrier of smuggled articles bringing from abroad everything including pirated CDs of newly-released movies to diamonds without getting caught by customs officials.
However Kamalesh (Akashdeep Saigal), who runs a similar racket in the locality, starts to give nightmare for both Das and Deva. Keen to topple them, Kamalesh goes to any extremes. Das entrusts Deva with a job to smuggle diamonds from Congo. Intervenes Kamalesh. He sends his man to make Deva’s mission unsuccessful. But eventually he fails. Meanwhile, Deva falls in love with Yamuna (Tamannah), sister of Chitti’s (Jagan), who also works for Das.
Their rivalry hots up and a turn of events leads to Kamalesh bumping off Das. Deva goes on revenge mode. They sort out their enmity in the barren lands of Congo and a surprise awaits Suriya in the form of Narcotics Bureau chief Parthiban (Ponvannan) after he returns to the country.

Plot: Guru (Vijay) is an athlete and business management student. Abhinaya (Shreya) is the daughter of a business baron (Ashish Vidyarthi). Plot: Siva (Prashanth), a medical college student, is an angry young man who is never afraid to question evils in the society.
