Synopsis:
Bhama Vijayam - One of South India’s all time great film directors presents and all time favorite Tamil movies. A middle class widower (Balaya) lives with his three grownup sons and their families - Major Sundarajan (a professor) and Sowcar Janaki, Muthuraman (Clerk) and Kanchana and Nagesh (insurance agent) and Jayanthi. Balaya keeps the family together and maintains control over the expenses. A cine actress (Rajashri) comes to live next door. The three daughters-in-law want to create a good impression with the actress and spend lavishly to upgrade their house. Balaya decides to teach them a lesson leading to many hilarious situations. This is a movie that has at least a couple of great songs - the more famous one being Varavu Ettana Selavu Patthana- about the effects of over spending. The other hit song is Aani Muthu Vaangi Vandhen. Highly recommended Comedy Gem from K. Balachander - See and enjoy.
