Plot:
The movie 'Kudumbam oru Kadambam' deals with the age old debate, should wives be house wives or should they supplement the family income by taking up a job. The movie showcases the pairs, Kannan and Uma, who are of the opinion that one should turn a blind eye to little inconveniences, and not let go of the salary. Lakshmi Ammal and her good for nothing husband Srinivasa Raghavan, whose only contribution towards his family are his two children. Lakshmi Ammal runs the whole family from the day she has been married. Their daughter Mythili who cannot realize her dreams with her love, Kumar, as she is forced to take up a job. The problems house broker Paramasivam faces due to his uncertain and meager income. The travails and tribulations these people undergo and the lessons they learn in the process forms the crux of the movie.
