The film begins at a journey in train where Paari (Jeeva) looks back at everything. Cut! the story goes to one remote village in Ramanathapuram. Paari is a do-gooder who helps everyone in need. A magnanimous man, he gives anything and everything to others if they ask for, apt to his name.
Promising his dad (Azhagan Perumal) to earn more, Paari sets out to Chennai to earn money. But he is thrown to more challenges in city. He meets a young girl Madhi (Poonam Bajwa) and falls in love with her. But also comes some trouble for Paari in the form of some goons, who flexes muscles with him. Sivamani (J D Chakravarthy), the dreaded but sophisticated don of the city gets ready to marry Madhu. It is now up to Paari and Sivamani to sort it out.
Plot: Karthik plays Manikandan, an Ayyapan devotee whom Mouli hires as the manager to his factory and businesses. When Manikandan goes to see Mouli's business he finds that it is not what he thought it was; that is, nobody works. Nagma plays the role of Mouli's daughter. She is very mischievous and causes many problems for her father because she breaks everything wherever she goes. She wants to have control of her grandfather's assets but the catch on his will was that she can only get access directly after she gets married and half of the assets will go to her husband. For this she marries the humble Ayyapan devotee Manikandan. But after the wedding we see another side to Manikandan, who tells us now that he is an ex-convict. Then a battle goes on between Nagma and Manikandan. Then we find out about why Nagma is the way she is--this is due to her sister's death (which she blames on her father). Near the end Manikandan proves to her that her sister's lover was the cause of her sister's death. Nagma then understands and asks for forgiveness from Manikandan. The film ends with Manikandan becoming an Ayyapan devotee again.

Plot: Pushpak (English title: The Love Chariot) is a dark comedy film released in 1988. Set in some large unnamed Indian city (shot in Bangalore), the film is based on the king-for-a-day story. The film is notable for its inventive recasting of the silent movie form.
Though shot in colour and featuring incidental noise, the film does not have any dialogues. However, unlike classic silent movies, there is no portrayal of characters mouthing dialogues; instead, the cinematographic strategy aims for silence by avoiding scenes or shots where a dialogue may arise and by camera placement that rationalises for the inaudibility of any dialogue.
The film follows an unnamed, almost penniless and unemployed youth (played by Kamal Haasan) whose fortunes change when he stumbles upon a millionaire drunk by the roadside. What follows is a comedic roller-coaster that parodies the state of the society.
Kamal Haasan takes the millionaire prisoner in his house and assumes his identity to taste the luxury of a five-star hotel(actually shot at Windsor Manor Hotel, Bangalore). In the process, he falls in love with a magician’s daughter (Amala). He uses his false identity to enjoy a romantic day with her. Meanwhile a contract killer is sent after the millionaire who engages in repeated failed attempts to kill Kamal with knives made of ice. Finally after seeing the millionaires wife lamenting her missing husband and witnessing several other incidents that affect his view of life deeply, Kamal decides to give up his new-found luxury. In any case, it would not have been possible to keep up the charade for a length of time.
In the much-acclaimed ending, Kamal frees the millionaire and confesses everything to magicians daughter. The magician’s daughter tells Kamal she still likes him and throws Kamal a flower and her address/phone number from a car. Before Kamal could catch them, a wind takes them some distance away. The last shot shows Kamal standing at the employment line, once again a very poor man.
Plot: Ravana's brother Mareesan (Jayaram), who gets killed by Lord Rama with a curse becomes a rock. Moving to the present, Nasser, a millionaire is cheated by his domestic helps Ilavarasan, M S Baskar and Mayilsamy.However, the entry of Saranya Mohan stops them from doing so. The trio hires hit men Karunas and 'Kanja' Karuppu to kill Saranya. She gets pushed off a cliff and lands straight on the Mareesan rock. Mareesan, who gets his life back helps Saranya save her life and brings the 'baddies' to book.
Plot: The story is all set in a hill station (Ooty) where a rich man comes with his five grand daughters (four of them are Mumbai models) for vacation. The fifth girl (Trisha) is very smart, and she is the favourite of the grandfather. But she has some secret, which nobody knows. The girls meet two guys, one of them their own cousin who are their neighbours and they all play pranks on them. One of them (Shaam) falls in love with Trisha, but she shocks him, by telling him that she has a husband (Madhavan) who is in jail. This forms the climax of the film.
Suyamvaram (1999) is a Tamil film directed by a host of directors. The film stars many top stars from Tamil Cinema The film's score and soundtrack are composed by five top music directors. The film was described as a magnum opus by Kollywood legends Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan at the pooja ceremony. The film holds the Guinness World Record for the most top actors in a film and also the award for the quickest ever full feature length film made. It took 23 hours to make from shooting to editing to release and was a landmark film in Tamil Cinema. The film made a massive 51 crores and was deemed a hit.

Plot: The movie begins with Jeeva (Prabhu), running away from his village to Chennai fearing a possible marriage with the daughter of a local chieftain (Radharavi), arranged by his father. Plot : Kalakkara Chandru: The story revolves round four main characters. Chandru, a lawyer with no cases in hand; his cousin Shweta (Bhuvana,) a more successful lawyer than Chandru; Chandru`s friend Dr Rasika (Priety); and the bane of their lives, Ravi Varma, with a brilliant but disturbed mind. Varma, under psychiatric treatment, enters their lives causing many complications. With a change of name (titled `Adirshtam` earlier) the film was a Pongal release. The story (a remake of the Malayalam film `One Man Show), is told in pieces of flashback when Chandru, in jail and out on parole, participates in a game show (KBC style) and is asked by the host what the prize money meant to him. Then comes the flashback that explains how he came to be in the unfortunate situation he is in, and how the money, if won, would help him tide over a financial crises.
Plot: A hilarious comedy, 'Indiran Chandiran' has Kamal Haasan in a dual role. The story revolves around the corrupt city mayor G.K. Raju (Kamal Haasan) whose atrocities have no end. His assistant Kripakar (Charanraj) kills the mayor and plants a decoy, Chandiran (Kamal Haasan again), in order to find a stash of expensive diamonds hidden away by the mayor. Durga, a journalist, falls in love with Chandiran. They both join hands to bring the murder of the mayor to light. Plot: The threesome who lend reason to the title are Aravindan(Vijay), Chandru(Surya) and Krishnamurthy(Ramesh Khanna). They value friendship over everything else, even family, and for this reason, Chandru resists the advances of Aravindan's sister Amutha(Vijayalakshmi). When the trio take up a painter's job at a mansion, Aravindan falls in love with Padmini(Devayani), who lives there and Padmini's jealous cousin(Abinayasri) makes him believe that his overtures are reciprocated. When the truth is revealed and Padmini rejects him outright, Chandru stands up for his friend and speaks ill of her. This makes her swear to separate the friends.
After the marriage,Aravindan realises the hand of abhinaya behind all the mishaps and Padmini too realises Chandru is innocent.Then the marriage of Chandru and Amutha is arranged.This is not liked by Amutha's cousin who leads to a break in friendship between the heroes.The subsequent scenes maintain the tempo leading to a usual climax.
Plot: Padmanabhan (Prabhu) is a miser for whom every rupee is a treasure. This makes him a laughing stock at the office and in the neighbourhood. Ramya (Ramya Krishnan), who works in the same office, is in love with him. But Padmanabhan, whose only interest in life is saving as much money as possible, refuses to budge. The film takes a sentimental and slightly serious turn when the reason for Padmanabhan's miserliness is unravelled. He is saving every pie possible only to get back his father's house which had been pledged to a moneylender. Giving in ultimately to Ramya's overtures, Padmanabhan marries her, but continues to pursue his goal of retrieving his ancestral property, with single-minded devotion.The simple storyline of Arunachalam has a straightforward screenplay by T. P. Gajendran, who is also the director of ``Budget Padmanabhan''. The film has no unnecessary frills (save Mumtaz's dance number) or convoluted twists.
