Plot:
Manohar, an upwardly mobile middle class Indian, moves into a new apartment - 13B on the 13th floor with his family fulfilling one of his life's biggest dreams. But the family is greeted by a series of small trivial incidents that could be regarded as inauspicious but are shrugged off by the excited Manohar. The women in the family oblivious to any unseemly coincidences get hooked on to a new TV show "Yavarum nalam" (All's Well).The show is about a family eerily similar to theirs who have also just moved into a new house just like they have. As the serial unfolds, Manohar notices that the incidents that happen in the serial are a reflection of what has happened to Manohar and his family. Initially all the episodes are happy with all good things happening, reflected similarly in Manohar's life. The rest of the family remains oblivious to the similarity and Manohar prefers it that way to avoid panic.As Manohar fights the uneasy feeling in his mind, things start taking a turn for the worse in the serial. He is now terrified that the same would happen to his family as well. Manohar now wants to know who is behind the making of this serial and what their intentions are. As Manohar explores the mysterious happenings, he unravels a deep and unholy secret.

Plot:
The story evolves around Raja (Vikram), a business management student and professional magician living in Hong Kong with his single-father, Shanmugam (Nassar), who he loves a lot. Then one day, they end up in a car accident, and when Shanmugam is in need of blood, he is given an unanalyzed amount of blood which was infected with multiple sclerosis. Dr. Cheenu suggests to Raja that he take his father to his old home in India, and to keep him happy for the last 2 months of his life. It is then that Raja finds out that Shanmugam was exiled from his home 25 years ago because he had a love marriage. But all that changes when the family meets him again, and when they meet Raja for the first time. However, Shanmmugam's father still doesn't talk to his son until Raja threatens him by attempting suicide. It is around then that Raja meets his crush, named Tamil (Sneha). It is revealed that Tamil's father and Shanmugam were good friends, and he gives her a picture of him with her father. Shanmugam also says that Tamil is the ideal daughter-in-law. Meanwhile, Raja is doing a countdown of his father's life, trying to express his love to Tamil, and entertaining his cousins. It is then revealed in the film that it was Raja who was infected with multiple sclerosis, and Shanmugam persuaded Dr. Cheenu, who is also a good friend of his to lie to Raja, and the doctor has been trying his level best to find some form of treatment for this incurable disease. A month after he was diagnosed, Dr. Cheenu called saying the symptoms will start arising within Raja, which consist of headaches, colour blindness, and a hole appearing in his vision. Raja realizes something is wrong and his doubts are cleared in a telephone conversation with Dr. Cheenu, and uswing his ventriloquist abilities, he talks to the doctor while imitating his father's voice, but Shanmugam and Dr. Cheenu don't know that the secret is out.

Review:
THE MILIEU and the sentiments involved remind one of another Vikram starrer "King". But NIC Arts' "Kadhal Sadugudu" talks about love in a more profound manner. In the making for a long time, this flick written and directed by Durai, has Vikram looking more like he did in the days of "Sethu".
But it is a softer, kinder, role — a contrast to his action ventures like "Dhool". He is a perfect foil for the impulsive, short tempered and proud Chidambaram (Prakashraj). What Prakashraj tries to achieve with his fiery eyes and full-throated dialogue, Vikram achieves with his quiet demeanour. Vikram's eyes in particular, convey emotions with ease. But at times you wish he were a little more brisk and dynamic.
Suresh (Vikram) and Kausalya (Priyanka) fall in love. But unwittingly Suresh keeps rubbing her father (Prakashraj) on the wrong side. So naturally he objects to the match. But after a point his senseless, irrational anger drives you to exasperation. The climax at the railway station is clichéd, predictable, boring and so typical of our films. The hero's monologue only accentuates the dullness. There are many members in the huge joint family Suresh stays with, but not one, including Nambiar, makes an impression.
Super Subbu (Vivek), his grandma (Paravai Muniyamma) and the father with his Kangaroo court form a comedy track that has nothing to do with the main story.
The vulgarity in dialogue in certain sequences makes the viewer squirm.
"Maegathil Ondrai... ", sung by Hariharan and Sujatha has melodic touches. Deva is the composer. The re-recording hurts the ear.
It is not action packed like "Gemini", "Dhool" or "Dhil". Neither is it a haunting family drama like "Sethu" or "Kasi". All the same "Kadhal Sadugudu" has Vikram and as always he does justice to the part he plays.

One night after having dinner at a restaurant near the beach Velu goes to pay the bill leaving Laila behind. At that moment a corrupt police officer Shankar (Ashish Vidyarti) drinks and urinates besides Laila. Irritated, she scolds him. He attempts to rape her but is beaten up by Velu severely and receives a scar on his face. Angered by this he seeks revenge against Velu. The rest of the story shows how Velu fights Shankar and his goons finally killing the corrupt police.

Arumugham (Vikram) is an uneducated, good hearted, helpful village hick. Easwari (Jyothika) is his childhood friend. A chemical factory in the village pollutes the local river and when all attempts to stop the factory waste from going to the drinking water falls flat, the villagers decide to send Arumugham to Chennai and meet the concerned minister who has won from their constituency. He sets out for the city with Easwari and her grandmother and they stay with Arumugham's friend (Vivek) and gang. Swapna (Reema Sen) is a model who stays in the same area and she lusts after Arumugham. They meet the Minister (Sayaji Shinde) who is extremely nice to them and promises to help them. Soon Arumugham is forced by circumstances to fight against an anti-social gang with a lady boss. An honest police officer (Manoj K Jayan) tries to collect evidence against the criminal gang. When Arumugham realizes that the bad guys are the henchmen of the same Minister who is behind all the crimes! He starts beating the Minister with his intelligence and plans. Ultimately he solves his village's problem and at the same time teaches the Minister a lesson.

The movie takes place in Coimbatore. Vikram, born in the family of goldsmith works in a factory. He leads a carefree life. A verbal dual between a local party worker and Vikram results in a clash between the local MLA (Virumaandi fame Pasupathy) and Vikram. In a tussle, Pasupathy is battered to death by Vikram who surrenders to the local police. Vikram manages to escape from the clutches of police following reports from a doctor that Pasuapthy had a natural death. Thereby Vikram incurs the wrath of Pasupathy’s brother, played by Kollam Thulasi, a noted Teleugu actor, an influential politician.Eventually Vikram takes the responsibility of cleaning up the city and forms his own group who by violence bring things to order in Coimbatore.The big disappointment in the movie has been Harris Jeyaraj’s songs. Harris Jeyaraj, whose tunes caught, the attention of many in movies like Saamy and Kovil, fails to impress. The tunes are ordinary and re-recording, jarring too. The director seems to have banked on Vikram’s image as an action-hero. Vikram, thanks to his styles add pep to the movie. He has tried his best to bring conviction to the role with his screen presence.
