Plot:
The movie 'Periannaha' meaning elder brother, deals with two plots both getting intertwined in the later part. Minister Varadarajan’s daughter Ganga falls in love with Surya, a brilliant violinist, while learning violin from him. Surya a convict is serving life sentence for having murdered his parent’s murderer. Angered by daughter’s act, Varadarajan decides to kill Surya in a police encounter, but both of them escape and land up in Kottaipalayam. Here they witness a murder in daylight in the presence of the whole village. Strangely nobody gives a police complaint against the murderer, Periannaha. When Surya threatens to go to the police, unfolds a chilling story of slavery, cruelty, bonded labor, murder and torture. Will Surya still go to the police, or will he use this as a hiding place for him and Ganga for the rest of his life?
