'Idhu Oru Thodarkathai' is the story of a women who is in the twilight of her life. Radha (Rekha) has brain tumor. She runs away from home making her parents believe that she has run away with a boy to marry so that they hate her and they don't come to know the truth. She comes to Chennai where she meets Ravi and falls in love with him and vise versa. However due to her health
she rejects Ravi and tells him the truth. Ravi still insists on marrying her. She agrees to marry Ravi with the condition that he will remarry before the inevitable happens.. Both get married and start their new life. After marriage Radha starts insisting Ravi for marriage as she is aware that her days are numbered, however Ravi refuses. Will Radha be successful in getting Ravi married again or will Radha survive and save Ravi the trauma of losing his wife and getting married against his will?
