Plot:
‘Ullasapparavaigal’ is the story of an unfortunate youth Ravi (Kamal Haasan) wronged by his own uncle Rajagopal for his property. The son of a very rich businessman, Ravi is highly qualified, and leads a satisfied life. But one visit to his village changes his entire life. He becomes mentally unstable, and is terrified of fire or anything even remotely connected to it. Fearing social stigma, Ravi is send abroad for his treatment, by his father. Ravi’s childhood friend Nirmala (Rathi) comes to his aid, and helps him recover. But Rajagopal arranges for him to be killed. Ravi is unaware of Rajagopal’s intention and is confused as to how there could be an enemy in a foreign land. What is Ravi’s plight?
