Plot:
Pandi (Larencce) does menial jobs in Dubai and saves every penny he earns and sends it to his family in Usilampatti. A flashback reveals that he was a carefree youth, who is often chided by his father (Nasser). His elder brother (Sreeman) is the blue-eyed boy of his father. However Pandi's mother (Saranya) showers all her love and affection on him. Pandi comes across Sneha, a cop’s daughter in the village and after a sequence of events romance blossoms between them. Meanwhile his family receives a shock as just a couple of days before Pandi's sister's wedding, Sriman runs away from the house with the money kept for the wedding.

A dejected father is consoled by Pandi, who borrows money from a private money-lender and completes the wedding. Meanwhile, Sneha walks out of the house to enter wedlock with Pandi.

Determined to payback the loan and help his family overcomes their financial constraint, Pandi decides to go abroad and work as conservancy staff. He manages to stabilize his family with his earnings. However on his return he is shocked to find his mother dead. Coming to know that it was no natural death, he decides to avenge the killers. Did he succeed in his mission forms the climax.

Plot:
'Inba' has just come out from a juvenile jail for accidentally killing his classmate Jyothi (Purnitha), a girl in school who cruelly cheats him. He gets a ‘Job’ as a body guard to a rich girl Priya, who is harassed by her collage mate Rupan.

Initially Priya hates the arrangement and tries to get rid of Inba in crude ways. But she instantly starts loving him, after he saves her life from a ploy by Rupen. Though Inba discourages her love initially, because of his disturbed past, he slowly falls in love.

But Priya’s dada brother, the local don Mala Ganesan, is ready to even kill Inba to separate them. But Rupan, who is mad about Priya, interrupts through his brother, the SP of the area. He tries to eliminate Inba and Ganesan to get Priya for his brother. The climax settles everything with a happy end after a lot of stunts and blood shed.

Dullness is the word that strikes your mind when you think of the script filled with predictable proceedings. The love between Shaam and Sneha fails to attract our attention. The characterisation of the main players is but clichéd. The only thing the director has done well is the execution of the flash back scenes involving the juvenile home and the high school.

Plot:

Vellithirai’ is all about two friends who want to make it big in tinsel town. Saravanan (Prithviraj), a well-informed person in filmmaking wants to become a director. Kannaiya (Prakash Raj) on the other hand has a dream to become a big star without trying to develop the necessary qualities to become one. Saravanan is a genuine person, who believes in hard work and sincerity, while Kannaiya is ready to become a star at any cost.

Kannaiya, - with middle-aged looks and a paunchy figure is obviously not hero material – but is determined to become one. He is roaming around the studios and tirelessly meeting the big weights of the industry for more than ten years. His philosophy is simple: once you start doing small roles, you will end up doing small roles all your life. He wants to become a hero at any cost and is ready to do anything.

Anything including cheating. He betrays his friend Saravanan by looting his script and gets a chance to act by using the finely written script. He becomes an actor and with a stunning victory in his debut movie he soon becomes a star. Kannaiya becomes Dilipkanth. He appoints a manager (M.S. Bhaskar) even before his first release. He develops the negative traits of stardom. He starts dictating terms.

Saravanan, on the other hand meets with a series of failures. He marries the top heroine of the industry, Mythily (Gopika), who loves him so much. Mythily, who is tortured by her brother Dinesh (Sampathraj) comes to her lover’s house and marries him. She gives up acting. Meanwhile Saravanan is struggling to make his innings in the cine field and trying very hard but in vain. The failures continue and Mythily decides to part Saravanan, just to help him come up in his life

Saravanan is deeply hurt and dejected. He loses faith in life. Then he gets a chance to prove himself. A producer (Sarath Babu), who gave Kannaiya his break, sympathises with Saravanan and gives him a chance to direct a film. But there is one hiccup. Saravanan has to make the film featuring the star who sells. He has to cast Dilipkanth.

Saravanan accepts this condition, as he is craving for a chance. This development puts the genuine filmmaker and a superfluous star against each other. The filmmaker is not allowed by the star to do what he wants to do. The creator is being constantly hurt by the star. The battle intensifies and reaches boiling point.

The rest of the movie reveals who has the last laugh. The brilliantly conceived and executed climax settles things in a convincing manner.

Plot:
Vijay (Arun Vijay) has a younger brother Vadhan (Jerovadhan), who cannot digest failure. Vijay is determined to see that Vadhan gets whatever he wants. He bribes the potential winners of a running race to ensure Vadhan’s success. He beats up a whole gang of thugs to make Vadhan to become collage chairman. Finally, when his brother wants to marry a girl, he is shattered. It is his girlfriend, who is also in deep love with him.

Vijay, who is actually an orphan, decides to give up his lover and he makes the girl accept the arrangement by emotionally blackmailing her (the dialogues by the girl in this situation are sharp). The marriage takes place but there is a twist in the tale, which puts the family apart. The intrusion of the villain, with whom the brothers have locked horns, makes things worse. Lots of pathetic developments mixed with sentiments lead to the climax.

Plot:

Plot:
Prasanna, an orphan vents his feelings in a poem but he doesn’t send it to any magazine. Surprisingly he reads a poem, penned by a girl, in a magazine that is quite similar to what he has written. How two persons could have the same feelings and write similar poems based on the feelings?

Prasanna is amused and sets off to find the girl. He finds that she is a collage student and living in Kutralam. He writes a letter and gets a reply. The friendship develops and it gradually evolves into love.

One fine day he goes to Kutralam to meet the girl and stays in his friend’s house. The girl is out of station on a collage tour. Ironically, the she is the sister of his friend. The hide and seek game continues till the intermission point.


In the second half the friend dies in a mishap, which is caused by Prasanna accidentally. Prasanna, wanting to make atonement for his fault, takes the responsibility of his friend and considers his friend’s sisters as his own sisters. When the girl comes back, she finds a new ‘brother’, who is supposed to be her lover. What happens to the love makes the excellently conceived and well executed climax.

Plot:
Head constable Ayyappan (Thilagan) is sacked from service because of his stern principles and inflexible attitude. He faces resistance and opposition from all sides. The Commissioner declines to give him the verification certificate to complete his selection. Rather, he sends a police battalion to take him into custody. Yet, Sanjeev evades all the wicked traps set for him and becomes a Sub-Inspector. With refined aptitude, he eliminates the local bullies, street-side hoods and threatening underworld mafia. Amid all the action, Sanjeev also finds time to romance with Priya Mani. The power-war and Sanjeev's triumph forms the rest of the story.

Plot:

Commissioner (Riyaz Khan), bomb squad officer Anu (Anu Hassan) are behind him trying their best to defuse the bomb and save him and the city. How the bomb is defused after a lot of twists and turns is what the rest of the film is about.

Plot:
Gopal Sivaji Ganesan and Gowri KR Vijaya are salespeople in competing organisations. They are professional rivals and end up sharing rooms in the same house belonging to an English. Naidu M. R. Radha and his Telegu wife Manorama are caretakers of the house where Mohan and Gowri stay. Gopal and Gowri get married and both quit their jobs on the same day. Nair and his wife lend them some money to start a business.

Gopal's business becomes successful and Gowri and Mohan have a son and are about to have another baby. A Punjabi family led by Baldev Singh ('Major' Sundararajan) move into one of the portions. A Malayalee Muslim lead by Ibrahim (V K Ramasamy) family take up residence in other part of the same house. After some initial hiccups, the four families settle down and become close friends.

Gopal's secretary Kamala tries to vamp him and her brother takes a photo pf the two of them together and begins to blackmail Gopal. His neighbours help him fight off the blackmailer and this seals the bond between them even more strongly. When the house owner decides to sell the house and return to England, the families buy the house together with Gopal paying Naidu's share. They call the house Bharatha Vilas, since it houses people from all parts of the country.

The movie catches up with the residents of Bharatha Vilas after many years. Gopal is now even more successful and slightly arrogant about his wealth. His daughter is very close to Ibrahim's family and considers his son Hamid as her brother. Someone sends an anonymous letter about their relationship and Gopal cuts off all contact with Ibrahim and fixes his daughter's wedding with one of his relatives.

Ibrahim comes to know about this and kicks his son out of the house, Hamid joins the army and war is declared almost immediately. Meanwhile Gopal's son and Baldev Singh's daughter – who are both medical students - are in love without their parent's knowledge.

Hamid is killed in the war and a letter he wrote before he left for battle makes it clear to Gopal that his daughter and Hamid were just like siblings. Gopal and Ibrahim reconcile. Gopal suddenly suffers a huge loss in business and is unable to pay the dowry for his daughter. When the groom's family pressurises him, his neighbours pay him money for the dowry.

Gopal finally learns the difference between friends and enemies and arranges his daughter's marriage with Naidu's son. Naidu agrees on the condition that Gopal agrees to get his son married to Baldev Singh's daughter. The neighbours finally become one large happy family.
