The story is similar to that of Gulliver's Travels. It is a story of an island where the men are born dwarf-like due to a divine curse while the women are as usual tall and extremely beautiful. Out of jealousy, the men guard the island from handsome outsiders. However, Prithviraj manages to land up there and fall in love with the chieftain's daughter, Mallika Kapoor. The story is how they both struggle in love and how their love triumphs after a series of obstacles.

Plot:
A lavish Maharaja (Rajinikanth) lived with his sister-in-law and stepbrother Rajasekhar (Raghuvaran), helping people incessantly. His sister-in-law has a son, to whom the Maharaja bequeaths a major portion of his property. At this juncture, a new baby is born to the Maharaja. His wife dies soon after. Brother Rajasekhar cheats the Maharaja as he fears that his son's property might be taken back and given to the Maharaja's own son. When the cheating comes to light, the Maharaja hands over all his property and his baby to his sister-in-law and brother and goes to the Himalayas, making his sister-in-law promise him that the baby should be brought up as a servant, not as a Maharaja. This baby is named Muthu (also Rajinikanth).

According to the promise tendered to the Maharaja, the son of the Maharaja's sister-in-law becomes a Prince (Sarath Babu) and Muthu works as his servant. A huge fan of Drama, the prince regularly takes Muthu along with him wherever he goes. One day the Prince falls in love with an actress Ranganayaki (Meena). But Ranganayaki's heart lies with Muthu. Amidst all this, the Prince's Uncle (Radha Ravi), tries to capture all the property by killing everyone. But Muthu saves all and it is finally revealed that Muthu is the real Maharaja.

Plot:
Nandha is a movie about a young man from a juvenile jail coming back to a society and his family he had left many years ago. It is about a battle of love and life this once upon a misfit tries to fight to fit into the usual social circus, a fight to earn his mother's love and a fight to live the second chance he has given himself. Surya who plays the key role is sent to a rehabilitation center for murdering his father as a boy. He returns home to a mother and a sister who are still in a state of shock after what has happened to their family.

He decides to get a new life by trying to give himself a college education. Having the record of being an ex-convict he finds it difficult to get a seat in a college. He meets Raj Kiran a disciplinarian, a college principal who runs his college with an iron hand. Raj Kiran develops a soft corner for Surya and guides him like his own son. Laila, an exile from SriLanka meets Surya and both fall in love. Seeing Laila without a smile and make-up is quite different and sometimes depressing too. Meanwhile the villain Saravanan asks Raj Kiran who also helps Sri Lankan students in his college a lot to aid an anti-social element, but Raj Kiran refuses outright.

But Raj Kiran's son-in-law agrees to help Saravanan. Meanwhile Raj Kiran falls sick and gets admitted in the hospital, Surya stays around to look after Raj Kiran his mentor and guide. Fearing what he has done might be out in the light, the son-in-law pulls out the oxygen tube of Raj Kiran in the hospital when Surya is not around and blames Surya of murdering his father-in-law. Surya having to deal with the pain of losing the only man, who gave him a second chance to live, also struggles the fray of being of being convicted of murder once again chooses to kill Raj Kiran's Son-in-law in the court campus. The case is dismissed due to the lack of evidence. Finally he is acquitted, as there are no eyewitnesses to the murder.

Surya has aptly displayed his yearning to be loved by his mother. Scenes where he asks his mentally demented mother to feed him are quite moving. After being acquitted for Raj Kiran son-in-law's murder he returns home. His paranoid mother who still believes that her son still has murder instincts waits at home to feed a meal, which she has poisoned herself. He finds out that the food is poisoned when he eats it, but continues to do so with a satisfaction that he is being fed by his mother.

Plot:
The story is set in a rural area around Madurai. The village is called Parithiyur where Paruthiveeran lives with his doting uncle -father's brother, (Saravanan). The name paruthiveeran means cotton hero, probably derived from the fact that the hero used to work in an under garment factory which extensively uses cotton. He shapes up as a brutal bully and leads a care-free life. Muthazhagu (Priyamani) loves him more than her life, but he remains unmoved and keeps her at bay. At times he is violent too. When he understands her true love for him and decides to marry her, the feud between the two families comes in the way. Determined as he is to possess her, he warns her against marrying anyone else on the insistence of her father or mother. He even threatens to cut her into pieces. Undeterred by his threats, her parents press ahead with the preparations for her marriage with a man of their choice. But she resists and musters courage to elope with Paruthiveeran. What follows forms a climax which shocks everyone alike. While Muthazhagu succumbs to fate's deadly game, Paruthiveeran has no choice but to let everyone believe (falsely and fatefully) that he is a madman.

Plot:

Narendran (Nasser), a scientist and his assistant Banu (Swarnamalya) will conduct a research on comets. In the process they discover the imminent doom that would fall on the earth and destroy the world. To prevent the people from panicking they decide to keep the matter a secret. They organize a World scientists' Conference to find a solution for the disaster. Through a senior lady scientist they come to know about an organization 'Akora' which kills and terrorizes human beings. Banu is shocked to find that her father is the head of the organization. Akora kills the senior lady scientist who investigates about them. In this situation college students Sri (Richard), Rishi (Manikandan) and their friends come to Kollimalai hills and join Narendran. They plan to take revenge on 'Akora'. And how they succeeded in their mission, is to be seen on the silver screen.
